Accessibility Statement
Last updated September 9, 2026.
RunWhatMatters is committed to making runwhatmatters.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. Accessibility work happens to our own site, and we also build accessibility audits and remediation into client engagements — it's part of how we deliver software, not a separate line item.
1. Conformance target
We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our working standard: keyboard-operable interactive elements, visible focus states, real form labels (not placeholder-only labeling), and color contrast checked against both our dark and light themes. This is an ongoing target, not a certified conformance claim — see Section 3.
2. What this looks like on this site
- Every interactive element — nav links, buttons, form fields, the theme toggle — has a visible keyboard focus state.
- Form fields use real
<label>elements, not placeholder text standing in for a label. - Animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion: the reduced-motion path shows the same information, not a stripped-down version. - The booking flow is fully completable using a keyboard alone, with no mouse-only interaction required.
- Color contrast is checked against WCAG AA in both the default dark theme and the light theme, including for the monospace data labels used throughout the site.
3. Known limitations
This is a living site under active development, not a static document. Some third-party embeds (the live-chat widget, the calendar-booking iframe) are only as accessible as their own vendor's implementation. We track and report issues as we find or are told about them — see Section 4.
4. Reporting an issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, tell us — page URL, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using, if relevant. Email hello@runwhatmatters.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. We treat accessibility reports as bugs, not feedback for a backlog — we aim to acknowledge within one business day.
5. Accessibility as a service
We hold a small bench specifically for rush accessibility work — audits ahead of a compliance deadline, or remediation after a demand letter. If that's why you're here, say so on the contact form and we'll prioritize.
